We are excited to introduce the students selected for our 2025 May Day Court, as well as our lei presenters and ladies in waiting. Our May Day program will be featured during our Aloha Festival on the evening of Friday, May 2. Mahalo to Kumu Kauʻi, our Hawaiian Studies teacher, for working with our Court and each grade level to prepare for this special performance celebrating Hawaiian history and culture.
The May Day court in Hawaii, traditionally known as "Lei Day," holds great cultural significance because it celebrates Hawaiian heritage, pride, and the beauty of the islands. It honors the importance of community, family, and the preservation of Hawaiian traditions such as hula, music, and the Hawaiian language.
